26 SEPTEMBER

Today we had normal classes, but was a few sad because was our really last day. A friend and I, we spent nearly 4 hours hiking in the mountains. It was a very long hike because it was cold and windy, but I enjoyed a lot talking with my friends and admiring the landscape wich was really beautiful despite the fog. When we arrived to the top of the mountain we had lunch and rest for a bit and after that we started back to the bus. The only classes we had were home economics, where we played a Quizziz about german food and physics where we made an experiment about condensation and convection currents. At the end of the day, we said goodbye to our irish friends.

25 SEPTEMBER

Today we had normal clases. It was almost our last day. We started  with spanish and then applied maths, where we made graphs and solved some problems. The teacher let us a couple of minutes and then asked if someone had finished. I was the only one who raised the hand, so I was very proud of me. after the break we had journalism, and our classmates intervewed us about our experience in ireland for a project. In mathematics the irish students made a little test so we had free time. after the lunch, we had a barista course, and we learned how to use a coffee machine and we made and taste our own coffee.

We had normal classes today, but we had a class, wich for me, is the one that I had enjoyed the most. The class was wood technology. We had had it before, but we only made blueprints and stuff like that, bit today, we started with the wood work. the previous day, we finished our blueprints about a little wooden boat, and this day, we started manufacturing. We didn't have enough time to finish the project, but i enjoyed a lot this class.  Then we had english class, where we watched a video and answered the questions in our notebook.  after the classes, as many days, we went to the pitch and played and talked about different things

20 SEPTEMBER

Today we went to the Ploguhing! It's a huge festival. It's an outdoor agricultural show in Ireland incorporating a ploughing contest. That week it had rained a lot in the area, so it was really muddy, which was annoying. Apart from all the farming stuff, there were a lot of shops, from clothes, hurleys and slioters, which are the stick and the ball for playing hurling, and hurling equipment to truks and cranes. There were also food trucks with hot dogs and burgers or cotton candy and sweets. I went with my erasmus student and his father and brother, and later one of my spanish friends and his student joined us. They bought a lot of things because everything was discounted, but I only bought a zipper for my brother, a T-shirt, and a hurley, which I'm bringing to Spain to show my friends and family hurling.

This day was a pretty funny day. We spent the three first hours hiking in the mountain, but the weather was cold and it was raining and very windy. The walk was so long and the paths were really muddy and at the end there was a very steep hill, but it was worth it. The views were great even when it was foggy. We had lunch at the top of the mountain and then we returned to the bus and went back to classes. We lost wood technology class, but in home economics class, we made cookies. They weren't so good, but we tried!

18 SEPTEMBER

We woke up early this morning because we were going surfing to Lahinch. We arrived to lahinch at 11:40 and at 12:00. Two surf monitors explained us how to put the tracksuit and how to choose the correct size. Then, we took the boards and went to the beach, where they explained us the basics knowledges of surfing. Then we spent 3 or 4 hours surfing that went back quickly.  After, we went for a walk in Mohere cliffs, but the weather was crazy. Suddenly it started raining a lot and we had to go into the museum. Then it stopped and we could walk and took photos. It was a really lovely day.

15 SEPTEMBER

We had normal classes today. We also started with musical and the teachers examined us how we danced. Then we had spanish, where we completed a South America map and we talked about it. After that we had tutorial and we interviewed a colleague and asked about him and his family. When the classes finished, we went to the pitch and played footbal and hurling, and at night we went back to the school for a movie night. We watched Jumanji and we eated pizza, chips and popcorns.

14 SEPTEMBER

Today we had normal classes. We started with musical class, where we danced and some of us were sent to other classroom to sing. Then we had religious education. In that class we answered a few questions in the witheboard and then we talked in small groups about funny things, when we had been good people and things like that. After that we went to wood technology, where we started drawing a blueprint for a wooden key ring. The last class was english and we read a fragment of a book and then, only the irish students, answered a little test.  In the afternoon we went to the pitch but it was raining so we couldn't play too much and we stayed under stands.

We woke up and prepared our things for going to Ballyhas Lake, which is an adventure park. It was an activity for all the transition year students. At first we made a zipline course. And after that, we played a really funny game. We had to compete against other team, and the game was about stacking boxes in one minute trying to made the tallest tower whit one mebre on the top. But one of the teams had to members on the top of the tower. Then, we had a lunch break and after that, we went to the water park. It was a lot of inflatables, like slides, a spinning wheel, rock climbing...  Then we went home and had a rest, because it was an intense day.

12 SEPTEMBER

We woke up early and we took the bus to Dublin, because we were collecting the six missing spanish erasmus students. The trip was long, about 4 hours, and when we arrived to Dublin, we went for a walk around the city. We went to a park and we seated and had lunch in the grass. It was nice. After that we wlaked around the city and the teachers gave us free time, so we went into different shops. We had an ice cream and then we went to a small shopping centre. My friend and I took a funny photo in a small car.  Finally, the six missing students arrived and we went back to Kilfinnane.

11 SEPTEMBER

Today we went to classes. The most interesting classes I had, from my point of view, were applied maths, normal maths and irish. Applied maths was like here in Spain physics, but the teacher said that was using maths in real life and sience side of maths. Normal maths, were like the ones we learn in Spain.  And the most interesting one for me was Irish. It's a completely different language and the alphabet is realy strange. At the en of the class we could write our names in Irish.  After class we went to the pitch and stayed there playing hurling and "soccer".

10 SEPTEMBER

I went with my exchange student to a rally race. The previous day I told him that I like cars, and then he said that there was an event this day, so we woke up early and his mother drove us to the event. There were different types of cars, from boogies to normal cars. There were different ages categories. There were male, female and kids. In the races there were cattegories. Some of them were between same cars, other were mixed, others only two cars... The races were amazing, and we bought cotton candy but it started to rain a lot and the races had to stop for a few minutes.  Then we went home and I had a typical irish meal, which had beans, sausages, bacon, fryed smashed potato and a food similar to spanish morcilla. In the afternoon  my student and I went to play golf for a couple of hours. Later I went with the family to the grandparent's house, to collect hay balles and we watched a world cup rugby mach.

9 SEPTEMBER

We went to Limerick city to the milk market, which is a traditional market where most of the shops sell food. We saw, dog food shop, grocery stand, hot dog stand, cookies stand... me and two friends bought a box whit 6 big cookies and we shared, they were delicious. Outside there were other type of stands, from clothing stands, to fishing stands. After that we visited the King's Jhon castle, but we didn't go inside, because it was closed. We rested outside, in the grass and we had a little lunch. Later, we went to the mall and we spent the rest of the day in there. We looked in the shops, some of us had food, or went to the super market to buy something. But there, everything was more expensive than in Spain. When we went back to home, I taught my exchange student and his brother to play poker, and we played a few hands before going to bed.

We went to class, but we had only 5 hours of classes, because in Ireland, thursdays and fridays they have one hour less.  At first hour we had musical, and we learned the coreography for one of the dances in the school musical. We enjoyed that class, because in Spain it's an optional subject, but there it was compulsory. People who didn't want to dance, had to sing. I prefered dancing.  Then we had coaching studios, wich is about learning how to become a leader/coach, and then a little break, when we had a little lunch.  After that we had spanish and we made a game in the village, and tutorial, where the tutor explain that we wer going to Ballyhass Lake, and then the lunch time, from 13:05 to 13:45. Our first day was pretty similar.

FIRST DAY: THE TRIP

We spent our first day travelling. I was excited because I wanted to meet my host family and make friends. First we went to Bilbao by bus and we waited around 4 hours, and finally we went into the plane. I was the only passenger in my line, the flight was mostly empty, so I changed my seat and I seated with my friends. We spent the flight playing video-games together and talking about our exchange students.  When we arrived, one of my friends, took out of his backpack a bag with chips, and because of the pressure, it was inflated. It was funny. Then we took out suitcases and waited for our erasmus students. We got in the bus and started talking about different things in our countries.
